Anyone who has an interest in finding their family roots will find a
home with us. We welcome everyone, from the novice who is just beginning
to research their ancestry, to the experienced genealogist, who might enjoy
sharing what they've learned with others.
At our monthly meetings, we have opportunities for members to learn from one another, as well as hear from speakers who have in depth knowledge of any of a number of topics, found to be of interest to those who are searching for their roots.
While many members of our organization live in beautiful Southwest Florida on a year round basis, we also have a number of "seasonal" members, known down here as "Snowbirds," who enjoy the opportunity to be with others who share common interests, during their Winter sabbaticals.
As we come together and share knowledge, both our research skills and our family trees continue to grow. Should you be visiting our area, whether for a few weeks or several months during the season, or should you be a year round resident, we'd love to have you join us. 7/14/2007 Nearly two years ago, the Bonita Springs Genealogy Club voted to create a website for the use of its membership, as well as to create a place where individuals seeking help with genealogical research could come for assistance. What you see here is the result of this decision. We hope you'll come back often, as our site and the content in it continue to grow.
The schedule of meetings through the remainder of this year and for the year 2008 have been updated, and changes to the current membership list have been brought current as well.
